Why watch this film?

One of the leading names in the Western genre, director Howard Hawks is the main name behind films such as 'Rio Bravo' and 'Hatari'. And after a break of a few years, he returned to the genre in 1959 with the acclaimed 'Rio Bravo', starring "legend" John Wayne (from 'The Searchers', the original). In addition, as the theme demands and as is usual in Hawks' filmography, the feature film has a memorable soundtrack, thanks to composer Dimitri Tiomkin, and great characters. A movie tailored for those who like epic, grandiose Westerns, made to measure.
