The Great Muppet Caper

Kermit, Gonzo, and Fozzie help a victim of jewel thieves in Britain.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

It's the second movie starring the famous Jim Henson puppets (after 'The Muppet Movie'), released at the peak of its popularity in 1981, shortly after the conclusion of 'The Muppet Show'. For 'The Great Muppet Caper', Henson himself took the reins as director (years before directing 'The Dark Crystal' and 'Labyrinth') for a more ambitious movie, which mixed musical comedy elements with a mystery story and, of course, the masterful puppet work that characterizes The Muppets. The result is a bit tangled, but highly enjoyable and entertaining, especially for the most devoted followers of Henson, Kermit the frog and Miss Piggy.
