Why watch this film?

"‘Blow the Man Down’ is one of those rare films that completely transforms during its development. And that's the most interesting part. After all, the feature film starts off with an extremely focused plot on two sisters, then turns into a pure crime movie and then moves towards something involving a sense of community - be it in terms of small towns or women helping each other. So, even though directors Bridget Savage Cole and Danielle Krudy let the rhythm drop at some moments, making the movie drag, that doesn't take away much attention. The message behind the story, as well as the empowering feeling, ends up outweighing any flaw or technical problem the movie may present. It's an independent film, with a brilliant story, and that talks more than ever with movements around the world.”
