Why watch this film?

It's always a great gift when documentaries bring stories that would otherwise be hard to come by. Such is the case with the powerful documentary 'Don't Touch My Colleague', the new film from director Maria Augusta Ramos (of the acclaimed documentary 'The Process' about the last days of Dilma Rousseff's government). Here, she tells the story of a group of unionists who came together, during the Collor government, to prevent the dismantling of the Caixa Economica Federal and the unjust dismissal of 110 employees. With a well-defined ideology and a focus that brings the film into current discussions, 'Don't Touch My Colleague' is yet another great political film from Maria Augusta Ramos, which only serves to further consolidate the filmmaker's ability to tell lost political stories from the past.
