November

A young woman uses magic to make a man love her in a poor Estonian village.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

The movie is based on the book 'Rehepapp ehk november' by Estonian writer Andrus Kivirähk November. 'November' is a curious Nordic fable about a love triangle in a small rural village. Shot in black and white and with impeccable cinematography - which earned it the award at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival - the production is quite different due to its being a culture not very well known in Brazil. Most of the cast of the movie are not professionals, which gives a very raw and intense performance. If you are not interested in the plot, it is worth watching out of curiosity to learn a little more about the traditions and folklore of Estonia.
