Why watch this film?

One of the most beloved films to play repeatedly on Afternoon Session, 'The Princess Diaries' is one of those stories that, without a doubt, made many people travel in the possibility of being a princess. After all, the viewer is invited to enter the life of Mia (Anne Hathaway), a 15-year-old girl who lives with her mother (Caroline Goodall) in Manhattan and suddenly discovers that her father is actually the Prince of Genovia, a small European country. She then receives a visit from her newly discovered grandmother (Julie Andrews), who begins to give her etiquette lessons, teaching her how a princess should behave. In a performance that marked Hathaway's career and showed all of Andrews's affection as an actress, 'The Princess Diaries' is an obvious transformation journey that, precisely because of this, is so enjoyable to be rediscovered every time it's possible. To have fun.
