Grand Isle

A father must prove his innocence after being accused of murdering his son in a twisted plot.

Trailer

Why watch this film?

Nicolas Cage has a tumultuous and inconsistent relationship with the movies. In 'Mother and Father', the actor plays a character who attempts to murder his children in an outlandish and strange plot. In 'Fury' and 'The Rescue', meanwhile, he takes on the role of investigator as he discovers his daughter's kidnapping. Now, in 'Grand Isle', he blends these stories together as he plays a father who is accused of violently murdering his son and desperately needs to prove his innocence. Under the direction of Stephen S. Campanelli (of 'Indian Horse' and 'Momentum'), the actor enters a spiral of bizarre events -- and a typical Cage performance -- to give the story some gas and emotion. It's not a police or investigative film that reinvents the wheel or makes us look at these alternative Nicolas Cage productions again. But those who like this format and the American star will have fun. After all, Nicolas Cage is never enough. We always need more of his performances.
