Why watch this film?

Scooby-Doo is certainly one of the most famous pets in TV history. After all, the talking German Shepherd who solves mysteries with his friends Fred, Velma, Daphne and Shaggy has accompanied several generations since it debuted on the screen in 1969. Even with so much history, the character only got a feature-length animation movie focused on theaters in 2020 - a movie that unfortunately had its big-screen release canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Regardless, 'SCOOB! The Movie' is a great homage to the characters from the mythical Hanna-Barbera, including very special appearances from Blue Falcon, Bionic and Dick Dastardly, among others. Maybe that's why the script is quite confusing, trying to play many elements and special appearances without having a very defined focus and without solving the loose ends - which can be frustrating for those who remember the episodes of the old series of the talking dog, with its mysteries to be solved. However, nothing erases the nostalgic merits of the movie, let it be said. In the Brazilian dubbing cast, highlights include the presence of Guilherme Briggs and Fernando Mendonça, as well as Alexandre and Felipe Drummond (grandchildren of Orlando Drummond, original dubber of Scooby).
