Invisibles

Social workers fight to save a women's shelter from closing in France.

Why watch this film?

Sold around as one of the biggest comedies in France, 'Les invisibles' gives signs of having a raunchy humor, reminiscent of the recent 'Mulheres Armadas, Homens na Lata'. The trailer, the poster, the promotional material. All give this idea. But it couldn't be more different: 'Les invisibles' is a powerful film about those living on the margins. Directed by Louis-Julien Petit ('Discount'), and with a surprising feminine sensitivity, the feature tells the story of a day shelter for women in France. There, people who are no longer finding themselves in their lives and who need support - be it emotional, physical, or professional - pass through. In short, it is here that they meet. Things change, however, when the shelter receives the order to be closed. What to do? From there, Petit, who also wrote the script, traces the journey of the two responsible for the place and, at the same time, puts the homeless crossing their paths. Highlight for sensational Chantal (Adolpha Van Meerhaeghe), the soul of the film, who helps to give a little relief in the delicate, sensitive, tender and emotional plot.
