Why watch this film?

Everything behind 'V for Vendetta' is grandiose. First, the story is an adaptation of an excellent comic book by David Lloyd and Alan Moore. Then, it got a script in the hands of the Wachowski sisters (from 'Matrix') and finally, it arrived on the big screen under the baton of director James McTeigue (from 'The Crow' and right arm of the Wachowski in 'Matrix'). And the result could not be better. With powerful performances from Natalie Portman ('Black Swan') and Hugo Weaving ('Matrix', 'The Lord of the Rings'), the feature film deals with fascism and resistance with a power rarely seen in cinema. This, on top of that, crowned with the very interesting dynamics of the characters V (Weaving) and Evey (Portman), which help to give humanity and make the viewer empathize with what is being told there. An urgent, necessary movie that never loses its powerful relevance.
