Why watch this film?

Much has been said and spoken about World War II in the movies. There are many approaches, many looks, many interpretations. But few are as delicate as 'Les enfants du 209 rue Saint-Maur, Paris Xe'. Filmmaker Ruth Zylberman makes a historical reconstruction of the Jewish community that lived in Paris during World War II based on accounts from former residents of the building located at the address that gives the work its title. With this, 'Les enfants du 209 rue Saint-Maur, Paris Xe' brings an interesting diversity of looks, making the viewer cross emotions and feel the atmosphere and culture of the country during this turbulent period of history. It is sad, powerful and necessary.
