The Way I See It

A former White House photographer with top secret clearance shares his intimate records of the President.

Why watch this film?

Pete Souza, undoubtedly, is a person with many stories to tell. After all, the photographer was one of the few with full access to the White House during the Barack Obama administration, being able to freely roam the White House and thus make the most intimate records of the former American president. Here, in this documentary, Souza shares a little of his experience with the public, talks about his relationship with Obama and, mainly, weaves intelligent and provocative comparisons with his successor Donald Trump. Although it has some cheesy moments (like the bizarre clip of Obama's daughters growing up, typical of children's buffet parties), it hits the mark by bringing this backstage flavor. A feast for fans of photojournalism and politics.
