Why watch this film?

Will Ferrell is usually known for his work in comedy films--'Eurovision Song Contest', 'Anchorman', and 'Talladega Nights'. Here, in this good short film selected for Cannes and Toronto, he takes on a more serious role, as in 'Downhill', playing an analyst who has to deal with a suicidal patient and his son wanting attention. Even though it's a story that leaves you wanting more, with more room for development, the feature film is exciting, emotional, and still gives some room for laughter. It's not amazing or memorable, but it definitely brings up some interesting questions, like the humanity of this figure who listens to our problems.
