Why watch this film?
Based on a worldwide best-seller, 'The Shack' is one of those films with a very specific audience. After all, here, director Stuart Hazeldine ('Exam') navigates a story of grief, loss and depression to talk about religiosity. In this case, a father (Sam Worthington) seeks to deal with the sudden death of his daughter. Emotional and deeply immersed in themes such as faith, religiosity and belief, the feature film tries not to pass by the viewer, bringing life and grief lessons throughout its more than two hours. Some people, no doubt, will embark on the proposal and be deeply moved by the father's journey. Others, however, will quickly tire of the excess of "moral of the story" in the feature film. But, one way or another, it is undeniable: 'The Shack' is a reflective, profound and emotional film, which should generate some kind of thought while the credits go up.

Kidnapped
In Kidnapped (Rapito), Italian filmmaker Marco Bellocchio delves into one of the murkiest and most controversial episodes in the history of the Catholic Church, the "Mortara case". In 1851, when Jewish boy Edgardo Mortara becomes gravely ill, his Catholic nanny decides to baptize him in an emergency. However, papal law dictates that all Catholics must be raised as such, so the cardinal orders the boy to be taken and handed over to the church, against his parents' wishes, who decide to fight for him. The film recounts a controversial case that captured the attention of the rest of Europe and America, and skillfully portrays the clash of interests between the waning power of the church, Mortara's parents, and public opinion, with irreversible consequences for all involved.
Green Border
'Green Border' - In the treacherous and swampy forests that make up the so called “green border” between Belarus and Poland, refugees from the Middle East and Africa trying to reach the European Union are trapped in a geopolitical crisis cynically engineered by Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko. In an attempt to provoke Europe, refugees are lured to the border by propaganda promising easy passage to the EU. Pawns in this hidden war, the lives of Julia, a newly minted activist who has given up her comfortable life, Jan, a young border guard, and a Syrian family intertwine.
