Why watch this film?

Movies about friendship between animals and children are a common sight in cinemas. 'Beethoven', 'The Little Stuart Little' and 'Free Willy' are just some good examples of this type of movie. However, despite being a somewhat saturated formula, what a pleasant surprise is the moving 'Storm Boy'. Directed by Shawn Seet (from the series 'The Code'), the feature film tells the story of a businessman (Geoffrey Rush, as always very well) who begins to remember his past and his childhood. As a focus, however, enters his story with a rescued pelican that became his frequent companion. It is a tearful movie, with a story known to all, but which will surely please those who seek light plots, and still moving, to shed some tears and leave the spirit lighter. Highlight for Rush ('The Best Shot') and for the little Finn Little (from 'Tidelands'), who knows how to move in the right measure.
