A movie that is at once historical and timely, 'Their Finest' brings great performances, impeccable atmosphere and sharp scripting to tell a story about feminism, overcoming and, most of all, cinema. The trio of protagonists in the film, headed by lead Gemma Arterton, veteran Bill Nighy and dashing Sam Caflin, deliver performances of the highest level - perhaps their best of their careers - and the gaze of director Lone Scherfig evokes great emotion without diving into cheap melodrama.
