Heavenquest: A Pilgrim's Progress

A man is arrested and embarks on an adventure with an ancient book and visions of a woman in white.

Why watch this film?

With a medieval air and style, 'Heavenquest: A Pilgrim's Progress' is one of those movies that try to revive a very specific type of film. This one, in particular, falls somewhere between 'The Lord of the Rings' and some random 'Robin Hood' story adapted for the big screen. However, it is clear from the start that first-time director Matt Bilen does not have exactly the necessary credentials and ends up putting his foot in his mouth in several situations -- no wonder the IMDb rating is so low. However, this should not be considered determinant for the decision to watch the feature. After all, although it has many mistakes and a chaotic direction, the movie has an exciting rhythm, typical of medieval action films, and a competent atmosphere, which should help the viewer to dive into this alternate society story.
