Why watch this film?

'The Right Arm' is what we can call a totally independent Brazilian movie, down to its roots. After all, filmmaker Rodrigo Reinhardt makes his debut in theaters with a production paid for out of his own pocket, at a cost of around R$250,000, to tell the story of a former police investigator who works clandestinely in the Stock Market as the trusted "do-it-all" man of a Bovespa magnate. It's called insider trading (information and influence trafficking) and industrial espionage, crimes that are rarely discussed by the security authorities in Brazil. Reinhardt thus makes a simple movie, albeit with narrative and visual precision, that seeks to denounce crimes that go unnoticed and are even misunderstood by many, but which end up making a total difference in the country's economy. To watch, reflect on, and celebrate independent Brazilian cinema.
