Why watch this film?
Romantic comedies usually always fall into clichés and predictable plots. 'Holidate' may not stray too far from this formula for success, but it manages to innovate and bring a certain freshness to the genre. The chemistry between Emma Roberts and Luke Bracey is almost enviable, especially when we think of a friendship between the opposite sex. The production is fun and very pleasant to watch. Roberts' character is very charismatic and makes a critique of the pressure that single women feel - usually because of family and society that preach that happiness is linked to a relationship. If you are looking for something light to watch and use as a distraction from what is happening in the world, it is worth checking out.
