It is always very sensitive, for women, movies that talk about abortion, not only because of taboos, but also because of the difficulty of performing one in Brazil - even if the woman has been raped. 'Never Rarely Sometimes Always' addresses this issue in a raw way, which can bring about various reflections on how difficult it is to make certain decisions and why the topic of abortion is so often prejudiced. It is really important to have this representation in the media, without romanticization and focusing on female psychology. It is often easy to judge certain women's choices, especially in a society dominated by men - who can live normally having a child and not taking responsibility. 'Never Rarely Sometimes Always' manages to draw well what it is like to be a teenager able to decide the course of her life, even though she has to deal with this decision - which clearly should not be easy. The two protagonists of the film, Sidney Flanagan and Talia Ryde, deliver good performances, so credible that it seems we are watching a documentary. Without a doubt, a strong, accurate movie that represents a new generation.

Plot summary
