Why watch this film?

After a long period of directing only series, such as 'Desperate Housewives' and 'The Office', filmmaker Charles McDougall returns to feature films with 'Ana', a comedy-drama about those unlikely, inexplicable friendships. Here, specifically, the unexpected friendship arises between Ana, a girl whose mother is in prison, and Rafa, a bankrupt car salesman. After meeting by chance, the two embark on a journey to try to find a home for Ana and save Rafa from financial collapse. It's a conventional movie, repeating stories, feelings and twists already seen in other productions, which should not surprise anyone or draw attention for its originality. However, even so, 'Ana' hits the mark in creating and developing its characters, moving even the hardest and most rational hearts.
