Why watch this film?

After 'The Rescuers' regained relative prestige and audience after a tumultuous period at Disney, the studio went back to betting on mice in their films. The next was 'The Great Mouse Detective', a charming animation that never achieved the success it deserved and was stigmatized because of 'The Rescuers'. Although it does not have the brilliance of films like 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' or 'Cinderella', this feature film excites with a little mouse doing Sherlock Holmes. There are no great moments, nor magnificent shots. But still, it is a simple movie, which should entertain the whole family.
