Why watch this film?

Nice. That's the adjective that should come to mind for many people who watch 'Oliver & Company', forgotten Disney animation from the late 1980s. Apathetic and a bit generic, this feature film went unnoticed on its release and still doesn't make much noise or nurture many hearts today. However, it would be unfair to say that 'Oliver & Company' is bad. A top-notch soundtrack, performed by artists of the caliber of Billy Joel and Bette Midler, helps set the mood, while the protagonist kitten explores a New York that only remains in dreams and memories. It's not incredible, but it's a movie that deserves to be watched and rewatched, especially for the nostalgic aura it has taken decades after its release.
