Why watch this film?

If you like those long ones where Mark Wahlberg uses all his physique and muscles to save the day, you've found the right movie. Just like the generic '22 Miles' and 'The Gambler', 'Contraband' is one of those productions that put the star at risk, hit some people and then come out as the hero of the day. There are no big surprises in this good director Baltasar Kormákur's (‘Adrift’) film, who does well when adapting the story from an Icelandic production. The scenes are well filmed, with emphasis on the running in the action scenes, and some well-fitted twists. In the end, it does what is expected: brings a good dose of adrenaline and, without a doubt, should please those Mark Wahlberg fans.
