A different look at life in the city with a good dose of action and unpredictable events. This movie won't please everyone, especially fans of mafia productions. Starring Shia LaBeouf and Bobby Soto, 'The Tax Collector' is directed by David Ayer, the same director of 'Fury', 'Suicide Squad' and 'Bright'. In fact, the production presents similar issues to 'Suicide Squad', which is a script that seems to not connect with the events of the story, leaving the narrative confusing and disconnected.

However, the movie delivers what it promises, which is to entertain with good ideas and to discuss prejudice in society. The production makes a criticism of all kinds of discrimination using a fantasy universe – with elves, orcs, ogres, fairies and humans –, humor and Will Smith's charisma.

Before falling into disgrace due to 'Suicide Squad', American filmmaker David Ayer surprised with the good war movie 'Fury'. Unlike the commonplace of talking about battlefields or strategy rooms, the director put his camera inside a tank. The reason? Some American soldiers are trapped inside the war transport while enemies of World War II attack them. A strong, violent and claustrophobic film, with a direction that in no way resembles the fiasco of the superhero movie. Special mention also for the good cast, led by Brad Pitt, Logan Lerman, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Bernthal and Michael Peña.
End of Watch

Suicide Squad
The US government decides to create their own super team - but made up of convicted villains. That's how "Suicide Squad" starts, a film based on the comic book team introduced in the 1980s. Directed by David Ayer (of "End of Watch"), it invests in music video editing, humor, and a star-studded cast including Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Jai Courtney, Cara Delevingne and Joel Kinnaman. This isn't, however, a well-constructed story - even by superhero movie standards - or one that avoids cliches. Either way, there are times when we just need a good old fight between good and evil (even if this "good" isn't very kind at all).
The Beekeeper
Adam Clay (Jason Statham) is not happy. He is on a brutal revenge attempt after an event that shook his life and now poses risks to the entire world. Why? He is a former agent of a powerful and clandestine organization known as Beekeepers. Directed by the volatile David Ayer (of the dreadful Suicide Squad but the good Fury), The Beekeeper relies heavily on the success of John Wick: not only for having a protagonist who kills everything and everyone in his path in pursuit of nearly unattainable revenge but also for its neon-oriented aesthetic, trying to distinguish itself. There are some Ayer excesses, as happened with Suicide Squad, with unnecessary camera movements and the like. What helps the film is Statham's charisma, skillfully blending humor and action in good proportions.

The Witch: Part 2. The Other One - A fast-paced action, mystery and thriller film that follows a young woman with impressive telekinetic powers, desperately fighting for her life while unraveling the mysteries of her past, pursued by unscrupulous killers. With Blue Dragon Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress (Seo Eun-su) and Best New Actress (Cynthia), this film captures the protagonist's intense battle to find answers and justice, facing not only her persecutors, but also to his own inner demons.
Bloodsport
Jean-Claude Van Damme makes his starring debut in the descriptively titled Bloodsport. An American soldier at large in Hong Kong, Van Damme becomes involved in the Kumite, a highly illegal kickboxing competition. Whoever survives the bout will be crowned Kumite champion of the world…a title that has plenty of challengers with homicide in their hearts. The finale offers a duel to the death between Van Damme and reigning Kumite king Bolo Yeung. The script is based on the real-life exploits of martial arts champ Frank Dux, who serves as the film's fight coordinator.

The Order

With shades of Dan Brown and a script by Jean Claude Van Damme himself, alongside Les Weldon (screenwriter of another action star film, Replicant), the movie is what every fan of the Belgian actor wants: brawling, with a fun plot, and never boring.
