'Cold Meridian' initially delivers a promising short film about a rehearsal for a performance, shot at the Budapest Dance Academy in a grainy black and white Super-8 film. Peter Strickland has prepared an experience with this production, which manages to prod our brains with its sound effects. 'Cold Meridian' can be considered an experimental artistic performance, as the idea is precisely to play with the viewer's voyeurism - it's even worth watching this movie with headphones. Without further ado, just surrender to this production, it's only six minutes and they are precious.

A comedy horror unlike any other, 'In Fabric' is one of those provocative and inventive films that make us think, "Where did they come up with this idea?" Here, director and screenwriter Peter Strickland (of 'Katalin Varga') tells the story of a cursed dress. That's right. And just like Annabelle leaves a trail of chaos in her wake, this piece of clothing also leaves its mark on the lives of those who wear it. There are no big moments here, it seems that the best of the movie stayed in the premise. However, Strickland's breath of creativity, as well as the daringness of the proposal, help make the film cause an interesting mix of fear, laughter and apprehension. It's worth the adventure.

Kidnapped
In Kidnapped (Rapito), Italian filmmaker Marco Bellocchio delves into one of the murkiest and most controversial episodes in the history of the Catholic Church, the "Mortara case". In 1851, when Jewish boy Edgardo Mortara becomes gravely ill, his Catholic nanny decides to baptize him in an emergency. However, papal law dictates that all Catholics must be raised as such, so the cardinal orders the boy to be taken and handed over to the church, against his parents' wishes, who decide to fight for him. The film recounts a controversial case that captured the attention of the rest of Europe and America, and skillfully portrays the clash of interests between the waning power of the church, Mortara's parents, and public opinion, with irreversible consequences for all involved.
Green Border
'Green Border' - In the treacherous and swampy forests that make up the so called “green border” between Belarus and Poland, refugees from the Middle East and Africa trying to reach the European Union are trapped in a geopolitical crisis cynically engineered by Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko. In an attempt to provoke Europe, refugees are lured to the border by propaganda promising easy passage to the EU. Pawns in this hidden war, the lives of Julia, a newly minted activist who has given up her comfortable life, Jan, a young border guard, and a Syrian family intertwine.
