Why watch this film?

Starting in the 1920s, animations took a prominent place in cinemas, which were the great (and perhaps only) entertainment for families. One of these standout animated series on the big screen was 'Popeye the Sailor', produced by the Fleisher Brothers and Paramount. In the mid-1930s, the studio went further, producing two-reel shorts (about 16 minutes) in color, one of the first to use Technicolor technology. Entirely hand-drawn and with a great soundtrack, 'Popeye the Sailor Meets Sindbad the Sailor' is a great example of this phase, being considered one of the greatest animated cartoons ever produced.
