Why watch this film?

Delicate and provocative Argentine drama, 'Un crimen común' is one of those productions that hide their essence in silences. Here, specifically, we meet the story of a woman who, one night, wakes up with noises at the door. It is the son of the maid asking for help. But she, scared, decides not to give shelter. The next day, he appears dead in a river. From then on, we enter this family and, above all, socio-economic drama. After all, more than talking about guilt, filmmaker Francisco Márquez ('Después de Sarmiento') exposes the differences between classes and, mainly, how divisions are becoming increasingly marked between people - also reminding some good recent Brazilian productions, such as 'Três Verões', 'Que Horas Ela Volta?' and even 'M8: When Death Helps Life'. It is not a movie that will please everyone, mostly because of the slow and silent plot. But those who know and like to embark on the reflections that the feature brings will be moved and find some good provocations.
