Why watch this film?

It must be said that 'TRON' is one of those cases where technology was not entirely at the service of the plot, but vice versa, so it is not precisely an interesting movie in the dramatic section. However, to realize the vision of the ideal virtual reality imagined by director and screenwriter Steven Lisberger, the film had to resort to various technical innovations, a mixture of backlit animation techniques and computer-generated images, in which it was a pioneer and a watershed (even inspiring John Lasseter, who would eventually become the head of Pixar). It may not be particularly fun today, but its cultural impact of its time earned it cult movie status today.
