Why watch this film?
South Korea has been a good thermometer for great cinematic productions and 'Gyul-baek' is yet another example of this. A drama with a good pace, cast, well-written and directed script, with the right amount of twists and strong emotions. Like most South Korean feature films, director and screenwriter Sang-Hyun Park inserts various elements into the story, without letting the narrative get lost or the characters become superficial.
