The Karate Kid

A single mother and her son move to China where he learns kung-fu from a master

Why watch this film?

Remake of the eponymous movie series, 'The Karate Kid' is one of the most interesting reworkings of classic films. Although this feature film by Harald Zwart ('The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones') has its problems, such as the focus on kung-fu and a forgettable performance by young Jaden Smith, it cannot be denied that there is a "spirit" of the original saga in the plot and in the good executions in the action scenes. Jackie Chan is inspiring as Mr. Han and the excitement arises at key moments for the development of the story. Of course, the original films are better. But you can have fun.
