Released in 1981 to a lukewarm reception at the box office, 'Heavy Metal' (also known in Spanish by the title 'Universo de fantasía') is now considered a cult classic. It is an anthology of adult short films, inspired by stories published in the eponymous illustrated magazine, famous for its dark fantasy comics, science fiction, steampunk and eroticism. Since the anthology consists of a dozen stories, developed by different studios, the movie is visually as diverse as it is dissonant, but unified by a central story and a metal soundtrack performed by artists such as Black Sabbath, Stevie Nicks, Nazareth, Sammy Hagar and more. A cult classic essential for fans of 70s and 80s rock culture.

Don't expect here the deep anti-war allegory of Godzilla Minus One, the far superior Japanese film released just a few months prior. Here it's about seeing giant monsters smack each other in the face, like an hour of wrestlers aboard monster trucks. If that's what you're looking for, it's the movie for you. If you prefer some more humanity in your films, it's better to pass.

Code 8 was an unexpectedly successful film, putting Robbie (from the series Upload) and Stephen Amell (Arrow) back on the map and captivating audiences with a compelling science fiction story. Now, the saga returns with an intense plot: after witnessing her brother's murder and the subsequent cover-up, a teenage girl with abnormal abilities seeks the help of an ex-convict (Robbie Amell) and his former crime partner (Stephen Amell). Together, they confront a unit of corrupt police officers who use advanced robotic technology to avoid being exposed. A clever and entertaining sequel.
