Why watch this film?

It is very easy to watch a movie that talks about social issues and label it as necessary. Certain topics when discussed in the seventh art gain greater weight and we are inclined to see importance in it - and rightly so. 'Dustwun' is one of those productions that not only try to show the world as it is, but that actually become essential for cinema by exposing it in a delicate way. Indeed, we are talking about an indispensable feature film. Director Genevieve Anderson managed to build a strong, beautiful narrative that deals with issues such as immigration, borders, poverty, militarization, mental illness in a very human way. Far from wanting to give a stage for cruelty, Anderson brought a lot of kindness, making us believe that humanity still has salvation.
