Why watch this film?

The second feature film from writer/director Sean Durkin can be described as a psychological marital thriller. 'The Nest' is a movie whose plot is based on the obsession with social and economic status, with all the lies that come in keeping up appearances, and the damage that this produces in marital and family relationships, the cruelty that almost seems like the inevitable other side of a perfect family facade. The production and camera design work is impeccable, perfectly complemented by tremendous dramatic performances from Jude Law ('The Grand Budapest Hotel') and Carrie Coon ('The Leftovers').
