Why watch this film?
Kevin James is usually a staple of broad comedies, such as 'Mall Cop' and 'Paul Blart: Mall Cop'. However, in 'Becky', the actor takes on a tougher aspect to play a criminal trying to kill a family in an isolated house -- including the rebellious teenage Becky, who gives her name to the movie. Directors Cary Murnion and Jonathan Milott explore a "more of the same" of this mix of suspense and slasher, showing the protagonist's desperation to escape from the clutches of this bearded Kevin James with blood on his face. Undoubtedly, the film could have been stronger and more vigorous, with more originality in its structure. But it's enough to entertain fans of violent suspense films.
