Julien Leclercq is a French director who has specialized in action films - including 'Lukas' and 'Carga Bruta'. In 'Sentinela', the filmmaker delves a bit deeper into drama and has his first female lead: Olga Kurylenko, from '007: Quantum of Solace'. In the story, the actress plays a soldier traumatized by her past and yet forced to take action to avenge her sister's rape. It's one of those stories that, even though it's fiction, has a strong foot in reality - and, between one punch and another, makes us reflect on the world.

With an exciting story about robbery and settling of accounts, it will keep you hooked to know the unfolding of the story - which fits perfectly into the current reality of France and Paris.
The Bouncer
Jean-Claude Van Damme is one of the big stars of the '80s and '90s "macho" cinema. On the big screen, he starred in successful productions within the genre, such as 'Double Impact', 'The Great White Dragon', 'Kickboxer' and 'Universal Soldier'. This time, Van Damme returns as the title character of 'Lukas', a dark, bloody production with several fight sequences - all without resorting to an obvious script.

This violent production is directed by Julien Leclercq, a French filmmaker known for intense suspense like 'Lukas' (with Jean-Claude Van Damme) or 'Carga Bruta'. 'La terre et le sang' does not disappoint in this regard, so you can expect a well-crafted action thriller under the old and proven premise of one man (or group of them) against an army of bandits. The editing pace raises the tension to the limit and, although the feature itself does not revolutionize the genre nor change your life, it will certainly keep you engaged - especially if you're looking for pure and simple entertainment.

The finale offers a duel to the death between Van Damme and reigning Kumite king Bolo Yeung. The script is based on the real-life exploits of martial arts champ Frank Dux, who serves as the film's fight coordinator.
