Trailer

Why watch this film?

"Misbehaviour" follows a revolutionary female group planning a protest at the 1970 Miss World competition. Their desire is to end the dictatorship of beauty, but they eventually discover that there is a greater cause behind it. The production is based on real facts and tells a little of the story of Jennifer Hosten, the first black woman to win such a competition. For her, it was essential to use "beauty", as it ensured that she had the opportunity to attend higher education. Unlike the protesting women, who were white and had more study opportunities in life. Of course, gender equality is important, but in the midst of it there is the class struggle and also the racial one. "Misbehaviour" delivers a slow and quite stiff script, but becomes relevant due to the treated theme.
