Why watch this film?

Jonás Cuarón, the screenwriter of 'Gravity' (directed by his father, Alfonso), returned to the director's chair with a powerful thriller inspired by real-life issues. In today's world where racism and border violence are frequent news topics, 'Desierto' paints an extreme picture of both. This movie was nominated for Ariel and Fénix Awards, and was selected at the Toronto Festival. Plus, Gael García Bernal stars, which is always a guarantee (especially for his fans).
