Why watch this film?

"The Night of the Iguana" earned multiple Golden Globe and Oscar nominations - and won for Best Costume Design - but it has a much more curious legacy: it turned Puerto Vallarta into a popular tourist destination because it was filmed there. To this day, the city has a statue of director John Huston, and the house that its protagonist, Richard Burton, bought with his fiancée, Elizabeth Taylor, still exists.
