Based on true events that occurred in 2009, it may not be an exact portrait of the events, but as a cinematic work, it manages to create a tense and suspenseful atmosphere that grips the viewer. Director Paul Greengrass puts his trademark - fast and impactful action scenes - but the real merit lies in the casting of non-actors in the roles of the Somali pirates. Their performance is one of the high points of the work.

Plot summary
Based on a true story, the film focuses on the Alabama’s commanding officer, Captain Richard Phillips, and the Somali pirate captain, Muse, who takes him hostage. The two men are set on an unstoppable collision course when Muse and his crew target Phillips’ unarmed ship; in the ensuing standoff, both men will find themselves at the mercy of forces beyond their control.

One of the most electrifying action franchises of the 2000s, 'Bourne' returns in this feature starring Matt Damon once again and directed by Paul Greengrass. Although it rescues elements that made the first three movies a success, 'Jason Bourne' doesn't manage to repeat the impact of those productions. Nonetheless, it works as a continuation of the protagonist's story, adding new elements here and there - which pleases the character's fans.

Based on real events, the terrorist attacks on Norway on July 22, 2011, perpetrated by right-wing extremist Anders Behring Breivik, the movie is directed by Paul Greengrass (The Bourne Ultimatum), who brings his signature dizzyingly paced style without forgetting the emotional drama of the victims and their families. A necessary story (unfortunately) in today's world.
Green Zone
Countless movies have been made about the US war in the Middle East. 'Three Kings', 'Zero Dark Thirty', 'American Sniper' and, of course, 'The Hurt Locker', winner of the 2009 Best Picture Oscar. And 'Green Zone', a feature film starring Matt Damon and directed by Paul Greengrass ('Captain Phillips'). The plot follows the journey of a soldier (Damon, in one of the most interesting roles of his career) who begins to see a complete lack of sense in the American invasion of Iraq. From there, the character enters an almost Kafkaesque plot trying to understand everything that is happening in the Middle East - a feeling amplified by the opposing views of a CIA agent (Brendan Gleeson, excellent) and a US defense superintendent (Greg Kinnear). Although Greengrass's hand-held camera gets a bit tiring at times, it's hard not to leave the movie more thoughtful, reflecting on the direction of humanity.
United 93
Movies based on real events tend to move us and when it's about lost lives then that power is even greater. 'United 93' tells the story of the people who were on the plane that was hijacked on September 11th, 2001, unlike the other two that hit the World Trade Center, this one was supposed to fall on the Pentagon but thanks to the passengers it ended up being diverted from its route. It's a punch in the stomach to watch this movie. Hard and devastating, it's completely absurd to try to feel a third of what the crew went through that day. What happened on September 11th is one of the greatest tragedies caused by man in the 21st century, no matter how many years pass, it's still very hard to think about it.
News of the World
"News of the World" is one of those movies that has everything going for it. Directed by award-winning Paul Greengrass, it reunites him with Tom Hanks, who starred in the exceptional "Captain Phillips". And Helena Zengel, from "System Crasher", surprises with a top-notch performance at only 12 years old. However, it's worth saying that the movie isn't all that. In the best western style, the feature film fails to take off the plot from a generic events muddle, apparently looking for an awards season ready-made formula: from the soundtrack, to the excessive close-ups of the two protagonists, and even to the obvious and typical "Oscar-bait" production design. However, this does not invalidate some qualities of the feature, such as the good chemistry between Hanks and the little Zengel, which adds a flavor of emotion to the story. And Greengrass' firm direction, especially in scenes like the shootout. An absolutely forgettable movie, but which still has room to travel in the Old West.
Thriller
Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2
Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 is the unlikely sequel to the feature film that placed the characters of this playful and childlike universe into a world of violence and horror. However, don't expect a production as weak as the previous film: with the success of the first installment at the box office, the production had more money to invest, and thus Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 manages to be more realistic, violent, and impressive compared to the first film. The characters' masks are much scarier, and it ceases to be a complete joke. It's still difficult to take the film entirely seriously, especially with this bizarre premise of Pooh and his friends seeking bloody revenge, but you can already feel more fear and, above all, immerse yourself in the wave of violence that the film promotes. To have fun with friends.
