Why watch this film?

Selected at the Berlin Festival - where it competed for the prestigious Golden Bear - "Under the Silver Lake" is not a conventional western, bringing healthy doses of humor and unexpected twists in its plot. Unfortunately, the film has an irregular rhythm, with the first half with a lot of comedy and the second one a bit chaotic. Still, the film as a whole is effective and interesting, with a sharp look at human behavior - tempered by Robert Pattinson's ("Water for Elephants") and Mia Wasikowska's ("Alice in Wonderland") great performances.
