Why watch this film?

Created in 1975, the Playmobil toy line was a craze in Brazil between the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s. So, combined with the success of LEGO animations, the arrival of 'Playmobil: The Movie' was only a matter of time. And although it may seem like a 99-minute toy commercial, the movie is actually quite fun. The original English version has a solid cast, featuring the voices of Daniel Radcliffe (yes, that Harry Potter) and comedian Jim Gaffigan, as well as Anya Taylor-Joy's performance ('Split' and 'The Witch'). The direction is from newcomer Lino DiSalvo, who has worked on titles such as 'Frozen: An Enchanted Adventure' and 'Chicken Little'. The animation works well and the message is clear: it is possible to mature and still appreciate the "childish" things.
