Why watch this film?
Christmas is perhaps the most suitable time of year to watch romantic comedies. After all, there's something in the air that just makes us want to watch movies to feel good. And Netflix gives its helping hand to help with this atmosphere with 'Let It Snow', based on a story by the famous John Green ('The Fault in Our Stars'). The focus of the feature is on the teenage audience, addressing the dilemmas related to age and maturity are addressed, in addition to the cast being led by young stars such as Kiernan Shipka ('The Dark World of Sabrina'), Jacob Batalon ('Spider-Man: Far From Home') and Liv Hewson ('Santa Clarita Diet'). In essence, it's a story of teenagers finding love, but that dispenses with the obvious.

A Brighter Tomorrow
Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti (winner of the Palme d'Or in 2001 for The Son's Room) returns with what has been called his 8½, for obvious reasons. A Brighter Tomorrow is the story of a filmmaker struggling to shoot a movie about the Hungarian Revolution, while trying to save his marriage to his producer wife. The film satirizes the current state of cinema, and perhaps indulges a bit too much in its nostalgia. It is far from the best that veteran Moretti has to offer, but if you've enjoyed his previous films, you will undoubtedly enjoy this one.
