Why watch this film?
Everyday heroes tend to be a powerful source of inspiration, and firefighters usually stand out among them, since they have the dangerous profession of facing fire daily, sometimes at the cost of their lives. With 'Sauver ou périr', director Frédéric Tellier proposes a plot based on a true story about heroism and responsibility in the face of mortal danger, as well as triumph against all odds. Even though the movie falls into some typical clichés of this type of story, it is elevated to a higher level by the great performance of Pierre Niney ('Yves Saint Laurent') as a firefighter, husband and father who fights to recover and resume life.
