Why watch this film?

The movie is not just a hard look at the situation of HIV positive people in the 1980s, or prejudice. It also brings an important critique of the government's relationship with big pharmaceutical companies. In the performances, Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto are incredible, really bringing life and depth to such memorable and difficult characters.
