Why watch this film?
Following the box office success of 'Mirreyes against Godínez', it is clear that the microcosm of the "nine to five" workers could be a fertile (or at least eye-catching) ground to be exploited by Mexican commercial comedy. These are the aspirations of ‘Rebelión de los Godínez’, a production that embraces the usual office environment clichés, from anxiety for payday to egocentric bosses, with a not entirely coherent script that seems to be more of a pretext to go from one comic vignette to the next. Its merit is to humorously depict the idiosyncrasy of the Mexican office worker, so it is a film that you will enjoy if you just want to have a good time.

A Brighter Tomorrow
Italian filmmaker Nanni Moretti (winner of the Palme d'Or in 2001 for The Son's Room) returns with what has been called his 8½, for obvious reasons. A Brighter Tomorrow is the story of a filmmaker struggling to shoot a movie about the Hungarian Revolution, while trying to save his marriage to his producer wife. The film satirizes the current state of cinema, and perhaps indulges a bit too much in its nostalgia. It is far from the best that veteran Moretti has to offer, but if you've enjoyed his previous films, you will undoubtedly enjoy this one.
