Why watch this film?

In just eighty minutes, director Lluís Miñarro makes 'Love Me Not' an unusual reinvention of the biblical story of Salome, transforming it into an ambitious and erotic allegory of the vices and perversions of war, machismo and heteronormative sexual repression that prevent us from loving one another. It's a strange movie full of symbolism and theatricality that will challenge you as a viewer, and undoubtedly require you to watch it more than once. The acting work is genius, with an international cast led by the Spanish-Swedish Ingrid García-Jonsson ("Beautiful Youth") and featuring Mexican actor Luis Alberti ("Carmín Tropical" and "Mano de Obra").
