Why watch this film?
After his role in 'The Office', Ed Helms found himself in lowbrow comedy. In addition to the 'Hangover' franchise, the actor entertained us in movies like 'We're The Millers', 'Vacation' and 'Tag'. Now he is back to betting on this outrageous humor with the police comedy 'Coffee & Kareem', another Netflix original. Laughing at the strangeness of the crime world, the film mixes two types of comedy: the absurd and exaggerated, led by Helms; and the innocent and sympathetic, supported by the protagonist's "dirty mouth" son. There are no great reinventions in the script and direction of Michael Dowse, who repeats the formula of productions such as 'The Heat' and 'The Other Guys'. But the fun is guaranteed, especially for those who like an exaggerated humor.
