McQueen

A thrilling portrait of an inspired yet tortured fashion visionary

Trailer

Why watch this film?

Alexander McQueen was, alongside names such as Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld and Yves Saint Laurent, one of the greatest contemporary fashion designers. Under his watch, the Givenchy brand doubled its strength and left an even more significant mark on the fashion industry. Now, filmmakers Ian Bonhôte ("A Race for Life") and Peter Ettedgui delve into the life of the designer in the documentary "McQueen". However, unlike what would be conventional in a biographical film, the directing duo prefers to bring a different flavor to the feature film. More than telling McQueen's story step by step, the movie shows the British designer's intimacy and unveils it to the public in a way never seen before. Fashion fans should get excited with unseen, and very interesting, images that show behind the scenes of great parades, as well as McQueen's creative process. It is a movie, therefore, that goes beyond the most superficial layers and reveals the human being behind one of the most famous cuts and models in the history of the fashion industry. Unmissable.
