Why watch this film?

Based on the best-selling children's book by Oliver Jeffers, the animated short 'Here We Are: Notes for Living on Planet Earth' contains a surprising amount of emotion and feeling within its mere 36 minutes. After all, British director Philip Hunt once again shows the sensitivity already seen in 'Lost and Found'. This time, however, with a little boy discovering the wonders of planet Earth. With an ecological footprint and a very strong educational tone, the movie should be a find for young ones looking for fun cartoons, and for parents who can rest easy with a well-made animation with a positive message. And it is worth noting that the short features an impressive cast of dubbing. The narration is done by Meryl Streep (who also recently dubbed the narrator of 'The Guardians'), while the son is dubbed by Jacob Tremblay ('Room of Jack') and the parents by Chris O'Dowd ('Juliet, Naked and Raw') and Ruth Negga ('Loving').
